Between 2017 and 2019 I was member of an international exhibiting group called Cloth in Common. Over that period each member created pieces in response to a series of prompts. The finished pieces were shown on the groups website with a selection of pieces eventually being exhibited in Tokyo, Japan and Houston and Memphis in the USA.

The quilts were made from my printed and dyed fabrics with the same set of breakdown printed fabrics appearing in several of the quilts. Each quilt is 75cm x 50cm and finished with top and bottom hanging sleeves.

Cacophony was created in response to the prompt ‘Sound’. It wasn’t my intention to create something that looked like a caterpillar but once that thought was stuck in my mind …..
